I entered my control number from my W2. it turns red and won't let me proceed. what do I do?

If you have left box d blank for the Control Number and the program is still requiring an entry, delete the W-2 and re-enter manually. The Control Number is not required on the W-2 to file your tax return.

Delete the form and reenter data leaving control number blank.
