I don't need to do self employed turbo tax, and that is the version it signed me in to. What did I do wrong and how do I fix it? I don't need this version.

Another person in our house used self employed. I used the basic since I am just a student and only make a few thousand a year. It only gave me the option for self employed and I can't change it. Possibly due to cookies and it doesn't try to say you don't need that because all you have is this. Help me please

You need to create a new account for yourself and Not use someone's else's account.

Go to this TurboTax website and start with the Free edition and create a new account with a new User ID - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/online/

I do have my own account and used the free/basic version to file last year. I am using the same computer my parents used to file their taxes and they have a self employed but it's MY account I created last year.

Sounds like they used your account after you had already completed your tax return.  If that is what happened then their tax return overwrote the first tax return.

The TurboTax online editions can only be used for one tax return per account and User ID.

If you have not paid for the online edition you are using, have not filed your tax return or registered the Free edition, then you can clear your return and start over with a lower priced edition. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the program screen while working on the 2022 online tax return. Click on Clear & Start Over.
