I do not want to deduct my state taxes paid in 2018 on my federal return. Turbotax won't allow it to be overridden and file electronically. How do we resolve this?

Use the state sales tax instead of state income tax if the reason you don't want to include state income tax is so you don't need to claim your state refund next year.
