You didn't describe what roadblock you are experiencing, but since you used the term "transmit", I'll take a guess.
If your "Transmit My Returns Now" button is not working, it may be due to a CAPTCHA not appearing, where one would need to checkmark "I am not a robot."
I receive an error message; that my file is not updated, when I try to transmit. However, when I update it says my software is updated... I running in circles...
What is the exact error message. I got a message about updating that referred to updating the TurboTax software before proceeding to the "Check your Return" step in the process of developing your return. The message you are reporting suggests all of the steps necessary to complete the return have not been taken.
