Do not count on receiving that $2800. If you owe back taxes or child support, any part of your federal refund can be seized--including that $2800 if that is what it takes to pay your debt.

They took the majority of our taxes for a old debt and left the -$2,800. We don't owe back child support. I think that the $2,800 is the recovery rebate. If I file the injured spouse form would it hold up the recovery rebate.
