I can't print out the things I need to file by mail. I haven't got an e-file number and it says that I can only file federal taxes by e-filing.
I cannot navigate to the end of the e-filing process and the process to where i can file by mail. I'd like to just go ahead and file by mail if I can get to the screen which will allow me to print out the correct documents.

E-filing was closed by the IRS on Oct 17th. You need to click the FILE tab and work it through again, selecting the option to print and file. If you can, that is. It's my understanding that the online TT program was shut down last week, so they can prepare things for the 2016 tax season. So I'm not sure you can even to that with the online version now.

An already-started online return can be completed and printed for postal mailing until November 15. To do so you have to pay all your TurboTax fees by credit or debit card. When filing by mail, you cannot choose to pay any fees out of your Federal refund. See the addiitonal info I left you in the next comment below.
[The bulk of this comment was removed because it was not correct concerning the efile deadlines. I revised it in the comment that next follows. You will not be able to efile if you did not make an attempt to do so prior to October 22. So if you had not tried to efile prior to Oct. 22, please ignore what I originally wrote about trying to efile with the 2014 AGI. Sorry for the confusion.]

Please ignore the original comment I made above. It had some errors and old information. Here is the revised comment. If you were emailed the original, please ignore, and return to the forum for the full info.
If you had not efiled prior to October 22 and had been rejected, you will not be able to efile at this point. If you had efiled by October 22 and had been rejected you can resubmit an efile until November 15. This is what the folks at TurboTax say:
"TurboTax Online is open until November 15 to those who need to complete an already started return (or amend a 2015 return.) If those who started their return did not e-file by the very latest date of October 22, they must print and mail their return. E-filing is officially closed to incomplete returns as of the 22nd. Only those who e-filed by October 22 and then were rejected are able to resubmit their e-file by November 15. Those who did not e-file by October 22 must paper file their return. "
How did you choose to pay any TurboTax product fees? If you chose to pay the product fees out of your Federal refund, that option requires efiling. If you want to print instead, you have to remove that option to pay out of your refund, and then pay upfront with credit or debit card.

If you did choose that option to pay out of your Federal refund and want to remove it so you can print and file by mail, here's how to do so, then pay the TurboTax fee upfront with credit card, debit card, or prepaid debit card. The method depends on what state you are in.
