When I enter my TD Ameritrade document ID so to import my stock transactions to the turbo tax. I get the following info: Please enter the 11-character Document ID without spaces from your Form 1099. There are no spaces being used. I called and spoke with someone at turbo tax. And they couldn't tell me why this problem is happening. Are there others with this same problem? And is there a way to fix this problem?

What if I can't import my 1099? - Intuit
TD Ameritrade is included in the list of names. The problem is that when I enter my Document ID in the box. It indicates the following message: "Please enter the 11-character document ID without spaces from your form 1099. There are no spaces showing when I enter this info. So, there is something wrong with the turbo tax software itself.

How do I contact TurboTax? - Intuit
I called two different times . Each a different person had no solution to the problem. There are others faced with the same problem. So I'm not the 1st to post the same question.
If it is a specific character from TD Ameritrade, you will need to reach out to them to get access to the specific 11-digit number. @anthony340
Are you using a VPN? I received a different message saying tax info was not available (don't have the exact verbiage). If using a VPN, try disconnecting. If that doesn't work, I have to restart the computer, turn off VPN, launch Turbo Tax, then try import again. This did the trick and I imported docs successfully.
Thank you for providing the way it worked for you, as this may help the community. @peqnorth
I get the error "1099 not available for this tax year". All the TD Ameritrade information has been on their web site for a long time. Could Intuit follow up with this data import issue?
If you are using TurboTax Online, try importing using a different browser.

I have the same problem
Yes THIS IS A VERY BIG PROBLEM. I have pages of trades,. Can someone from support check on why it doesn't work from TD Ameritrade. In your case, did you get the same error message?
I may ask for a refund. Maybe the import works for another tax software.
And no, your the standard support answers DO NOT HELP!! This is a bug in your system or data.
Are there any alternatives? Can I download a file from TD Ameritrade and then upload it to TT desktop premier?
In a Reddit post someone said Document ID is case sensitive. This fixed the issue
