I am FT teacher aide and gets a W2 from the school. I am also PT swim coach who gets paid via 1099-MISC. Would I qualify for QBI deduction? I do file a schedule C.
My schedule C consists of Income from the 1099MISC ($8721) and the only expenses I have to deduct is mileage (782). My profit would be $7939
I do file Married Joint. My husband also has a FT job and he also receives W2 as well. Just not sure if I would qualify for the QBI deduction for my part time position.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Yes, you could qualify for the QBI deduction for your self-employment income. After you have entered your Income and Deductions, TurboTax will tell you if you qualify and for how much.
