I am being charged $39.00 to use Turbo Tax but then when trying to checkout it says an additional $40.00. Am i being charged a total of $79.00 to use Turbo Tax?

You do not have to pay $40 to have your fees deducted from your federal refund. Pay your TurboTax fees upfront BEFORE you e-file --using a credit or debit card.
