I adopted Max and Conner in 2011 and have always claimed them. Now Turbo Tax is saying I can't claim them as dependents. Why ?

You must have answered a question wrong. Go back and delete the child under My Info. Then enter them again. Watch the questions. Be sure you say their ssn is valid for employment.

Then was at least half of child's expenses paid by CHILD? Usually is NO, Child didn't pay for more than half of their living expenses.

Should I amend my return? My parents are filing 2021, can claim me as a dependent. They owe, have penalties, and it is causing me to owe. Should they just take the hit?
