I filed my 2024 tax return after logging into my account using my email address. In previous years, I apparently logged in with my username instead. It turns out I have two separate TurboTax accounts—one linked to my email address and another linked to my username—even though both were originally created using the same email.
The account under my username contains all my past returns, while the account under my email address had no prior records. Initially, I was confused about why I couldn’t see my past tax information, but since my taxes are relatively simple, I went ahead and filed anyway. Later, I logged in using my username and found all my past returns.
Why do I have two separate accounts linked to the same email, especially when the TurboTax login screen says, "Log in with your username OR email address"? Is there a way to merge them into a single account?
