Have you updated your software in Desktop or cleared cache and cookies if using the online version?  If using Desktop, and you are still getting the error, the update may not have worked.  There is a way to manually update your TurboTax software.  Per TurboTax, "If you're having trouble updating your TurboTax 2024 for Windows Individual software using the "Check for Updates" method, here are instructions for how you can get the latest federal program update:

  1. Close TurboTax and all other programs except this browser window.
  2. Select this link to download the 319 MB update.
  3. Save the update file to your Windows desktop.
  4. Double-click the update file w_perrelsuperpatch... on your desktop to install the manual update."

I was experiencing this same issue.   I followed the directions to manually install.   The problem persists after doing the manual update.

I'm just got this same error message at the same spot on a Mac (Deductions & Credits/Personal Property Tax) with desktop TT Deluxe, version 2024.r18.021.  "Check for Updates" reports that I'm up-to-date.

Just updated to win vs 024.000.0308.    It still has the same problem.   Any estimated fix date?

Installed another update today.  Problem still there.    I gave up and did what I should have done earlier:

  • Went into "Forms" View
  • Selected "Schedule A" and double clicked on the number in line 5c
  • This opened the Tax & Int Wks
  • Double clicked on the number in line 3c...and entered my personal property tax details.

The error still persists - it is preventing progress on the return after 30 hours working on this return - have used TurboTax for 20 years no problem - will this be fixed immediately or is it time to switch?

There was an error regarding entry of property tax, but it has been resolved.  Have you tried a Manual Update?
