I am using Turbo Tax Desktop 2022. I have used TurboTax last year to do my taxes. This year I imported last years. I got down to E-Filing where they ask where to direct deposit the funds. What show up is the bank I used last year. I have changed banks so now I need to change the bank information. I have tried everything that is obvious with no success. I have searched this site and it says to don't select a method and it will ask for a bank account. That doesn't work. If I select the bank It wants me to enter that bank into. there is no place to change the bank. What am I missing?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
If you transferred your info from last year's return, TurboTax may prompt you to deposit your tax refund into the same account you used last year.
Please click How do I change my transferred direct deposit information? and follow the steps below if you'd like to change your account before you file.
That link didn't help. I have looked at it before. The problem I see is the link only has 2 options, 1 for the online version and 1 for the mobile app version. Both of those options I tried but the problem is the 2022 Desktop Version, that I can find, has no "I want my refund deposited into this account box" to uncheck.
Where is this box? I must be missing something. Again this is for the 2022 Desktop Version #022,000,0479.
@gslight You change the bank information in the File section of the desktop program.
Click on File at the top of the desktop program screen. Go through the File interview and you will land on a screen asking how you want the federal refund. Select Direct Deposit. Then you can enter the bank information.
Thanks for the reply but I did that. The problem is it has my old bank account info. I have changed banks from last years return. I don't know how to change it. Where is place to change the bank info from the old one to a new account? I can send screen shot if that would help.
Got it !!! I am just half blind.
