If you chose to pay TurboTax with your federal refund, once the IRS reviews and approves your federal refund, the amount is sent to a third-party, who processes the TurboTax fees and the remaining amount is deposited into the bank account you provided. The state refund(s) must be reviewed and approved and will be sent directly from the state department(s) of revenue (no third-party is involved). Please review the following link(s) and the link(s) embedded on the webpage(s) for more information:

You should be able to review your TurboTax order(s) by reviewing the following (If you chose to pay TurboTax with your federal refund (Refund Processing Service), the cost of the Refund Processing Service may not be included in your order details since this fee is not charged by TurboTax, it is charged by a third-party.):

  • If you used TurboTax Online to file your tax return(s), you may be able to review your order details by signing into the same TurboTax account and selecting View order details under Your tax returns & documents.
  • How do I review my fees in TurboTax Online? (If those instructions are unhelpful, please review the following link but instead of selecting Take me to my return, you may have to select Add a State under Your tax returns & documents just to get back into the return area. See attached screenshot.)
  • What did I pay last year for TurboTax? (If you need to search for your orders, please note you may have used different phone numbers and/or credit cards for each year.)
