How much does state efile cost for CA?

Using the desktop CD/Download editions of TurboTax there is currently an e-file fee of $19.99 for e-filing each state income tax return.  This fee can be avoided by printing and mailing the state tax return.

For tax year 2018 cost for CA e-file using Turbo Tax has gone up to $24.95 plus tax.

Thanks for the heads up. I wish this was more clear in the pricing. FYI It's also free and easy to file from ca.gov. A must if you are filing a simple return.

I complained through my state's ATG office about the fee not being adequately disclosed up front and Intuit sent me a refund 2 weeks later.
