How do you add Form 8863? Followed instructions under Federal but not giving the option to explore on my own to find it.

The Form 8863 will be generated after you complete the Education Expenses section of the program.

To report Education Expenses -

• Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
• Click on Deductions and Credits
• Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
• Scroll down to Education
• On Expenses and Scholarships (Form 1098-T), click on the start or update button

Or enter education expenses in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen.  Click on Jump to education expenses

I entered everything and it does not generate Form 8863.  it says I can't claim an education tax break because I'm not eligible - there is no taxable income on my return or because there were no net qualified educational expenses.  All the income received from the university (in W2) was to cover tuition expenses (form 1098T).

If you had no taxable income in 2018 then you cannot be eligible for any education credits.
