How do I unlink my phone number from my Turbo Tax account?

I followed that link to the FAQ.

It says:

1. Sign in to your Intuit account. -- did this
2. To update your user ID, password, email address, or phone number, select Sign in & security.

When you select that item you are presented with a screen that shows this screen:

 Sensitive information redacted.

If you click on the Phone block it shows this dialog:

The "Change" link looks promising, but if you click it you get this dialog:

Initially it presented my linked phone number. No option was provided to unlink. If I try to clear the phone number field and click save I get the above error message.

So, you see, the FAQ you linked is *in no way helpful* in resolving this problem. 

Next time, if you want to be helpful and are not being disingenuous, *try taking the action* and confirming that it works before suggesting it as a solution.
