I Need to print my extension.  Clearly I first searched for this in turbo tax help and it gave me a list of steps, step 4 being "

  1. In the upper left corner of the Account Settings screen, select the option to download your extension from the My TurboTax drop-down menu."

I do not have this option in the upper left hand corner.  Is this perhaps bc I did the online free version and they want me to pay?  Please help!

How do I print my 4868 extension form after e-filing it through TurboTax Easy Extension?

Simply sign in at TurboTax.com with the same login you used to e-file. You'll see a link where you can print the 4868, right underneath your extension status.

The IRS does not have a receipt of your extension request filing.  You can get a free transcript for your Record of Account which will show the date the extension was received by the IRS.  You have to complete, mail or fax a Form 4506-T to get this transcript type -  http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506t.pdf

Or you can go to the following TurboTax website for the status of the e-filed extension at no charge.  If the extension was received and accepted, there will be date/time stamps for when it was received and for when it was accepted.  Click on the Print this page icon in the upper right corner of the screen -  https://shop.turbotax.intuit.com/efile/efile_status_lookup.jsp
