As you go through the Schedule E section of your return to enter the details for your rental property, TurboTax will guide you through the process, including asking questions about the property itself to calculate the depreciation.
The key is in the questions that you answer in the Property Profile section where the question at the top of the screen is "Do Any of These Situations Apply to This Property?". You should indicate that this is the first year that you have rented the property and that should trigger the questions regarding your cost, when you purchased the property, the cost of the land, and other items needed to calculate the depreciation.
