If you are not married, you cannot file with someone else on your federal return. The IRS says:
Registered domestic partners may not file a federal return using a married filing separately or jointly filing status. Registered domestic partners are not married under state law. Therefore, these taxpayers are not married for federal tax purposes.Jun 28, 2019 from Answers to Frequently Asked Questions for Registered Domestic
If you want to file a second person, you can begin a new tax return.
My question is
I used the free edition of turbo tax to complete for one person. Now I need to do another person's simple taxes but I do not see how I can do another person's. Is there a way to clear and start over?

To start another tax return using the online editions you will need to create a new account with a new User ID - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/online/
The TurboTax online editions are only for one tax return per account and User ID.
The TurboTax account is assigned to you, so if you are trying to help someone else do their return (family member, etc.), you will have to create a separate account with a different email address for them.
