To enter the NR4, treat it as if it
is a SSA-1099 and enter it in the Retirement Plans and
Social Security section, under ‘Social Security (SSA-1099,
RRB-1099)’.

Search (upper right of program) 'ssa-1099' and click the 'Jump
to' link from results

Answer Yes to Did you
receive any Social Security benefits?

Check the box for Social
Security benefits (Form SSA-1099) and enter the amounts from NR-4
·
Next, select Federal (left
navigation panel) then select Deductions & Credits (top of program)
·
Scroll down the page to Estimates
and Other Taxes Paid and select Foreign Taxes to enter any foreign
tax you already paid to Canada on that income.

Enter the amounts on your NR4 converted to U.S.
dollars as of the transaction date. Please click this link for historical
