How do I file my tax return if I made a payment plan with the IRS? It says direct deposit or pay by check.It won't let me finish and file. I can't make a full payment now

I just want to file my return. When I go past the prompt for "Make a payment plan with the IRS", it just has the direct debit or the pay by check option. I don't have the money to make a full or even a part payment. Will it take any money out if I pick direct debit?

Say you will mail a check.  Then you don't have to send a check.

Just say that you will mail a check.   Then proceed with your plan to use the payment plan later.  TurboTax never knows how, when or even if you pay your tax due.
