How do I file as a dependent under my mother?

Earlier on I answered that I was independent for all of 2016. I need to change that answer to dependent as my mother is claiming me as a dependent.

No problem! You can do this as long as you haven't filed. I've honestly had to do this a couple times (in the past three days) with my mom.

You'll want to follow these instructions.

• Sign into TurboTax Online
• Select "Take Me To My Return"
• Once in your return select the Personal Information Tab
• Select Edit next to your name/ information.

Here is where you'll be able to select that you can be claimed by someone and that the will be claiming you!
