How do I file a 1095b?

Filling out the Health Insurance section is relatively straightforward when you only have a Form 1095-B.  A 1095B form does NOT get included on your tax return, but you should retain the form for your records.

The information from this form does NOT get directly entered in the Health Insurance section.  It is an informational form - you use this form to determine if you had health coverage and for what months.

If you had health coverage all year and that is reported on your 1095B, then you simply say Yes to the question about coverage.  The next screen will ask you about what plans you were covered by- if this was the only health plan you had all year, then you leave it at the default of No to the question of "Was anyone covered by one of these plans?" And, then you are done with the Health Care section.  The plans that are listed in that section are related to coverage under the marketplace and the Affordable Care Act (sometimes referred to as Obamacare) and you would have been issued a Form 1095-A and have to reconcile your premium tax credit.
