How do I download, or access a copy of the extension I filed with turboTax prior to April 15, 2019? Why were there "Pay Vouchers" from April, 2019 --Jan, 2020 when I printed my 2018 taxes this morning

I apologize for asking two questions there.  Thank you for your reply regarding the 1040ES Forms.  I'll work  at using them for 2020.

I missed an answer to "How do I download or get a copy of the extension I filed with TurboTax to IRS earlier this year--for the 6-month extension, to Oct 15, 2019?

I need a copy of the extension that I filed through Turbotax earlier this ear to extend my due date to Oct 15, 2019.  It was approved by IRS.  How do I get a copy of the approval letter?

Those vouchers are 1040ES.  Those are not for your tax due.  Those are 1040ES quarterly estimated payments for NEXT YEAR.  They are pre-payments so you don't end up owing again next year.  They are optional to pay and don't get sent with your return.

Turbo Tax is very conservative and doesn't want you to owe next year.  They might have printed out if you got a big one time increase in income.   like if you took a IRA or 401K Withdrawal or had a big stock gain.  They are optional to pay.  They don't get sent in with your tax return so the IRS won't be expecting them.  You can ignore them.

You do not need the form 4868 to file your 2018 return; the IRS knows you have an extension.  If you need/want it for some other reason:

https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/2879424-how-do-i-print-my-4868-extension-form-after-e-filing-it-th...

Your extension gave you extra time to prepare your 2018 tax return documents.  It did not give you extra time to pay.  If you did not pay your estimated 2018 tax due by April 15, 2019 then when the IRS receives your 2018 return and your payment, they will calculate your penalty/interest and bill you later.  TurboTax will not calculate the penalty or interest.

You have until October 15, 2019 to e-file your 2018 tax return.  After that, e-filing for 2018 will be shutting down, and a 2018 return will have to be printed, signed and mailed instead.  The online software will also be shutting down, so if you are not finished preparing your 2018 return by then, you will have to download desktop software to a full PC or Mac to finish the return.

When you requested your extension you were supposed to pay your estimated tax due.  Did you enter the payment you made into your tax return?  Go to Federal>Deductions and Credits>Estimates and Other Taxes Paid>Other Income Taxes  This will show up on line 17 of your Form 1040
