I want to download my brokerage data into TurboTax Deluxe 2023. Program will not let me without forcing me to log in to Intuit. I don't want to log in to Intuit. I paid full price for a full license to run ON MY PRIVATE PC. I do not want to pass my brokerage account/password info through Intuit's servers.
Please explain a legitimate reason that I am REQUIRED to log in to Intuit for the local paid program installed on my private PC to connect to and download my private information from my private brokerage account.
Send me working instructions on how to perform this advertised function without logging in to Intuit's servers, or explain when the program will be UPDATED to remove this requirement.
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
Probably won't happen. You can still enter your data manually, but it would be a chore if you have a lot of transactions. However, 1099-INT and 1099-DIV manual entries are a snap.
Unfortunately, the new sign-in requirements are the result of others pirating the software for many years, and Intuit finally found they had to stop it.....and we all suffer (though, some of us just shrug our shoulders and carry on)
