How do I change my name on Turbo Tax?

I legally changed my first and middle name this past summer. I was able to update my name on my Intuit account, but when I try to start Turbo Tax it still shows my old name (but my Intuit account shows my current name). I was told that when I file taxes my name needs to match what's on my Social Security card, so I need to be able to update my name on Turbo Tax. How do I do this?

In the My Info section of the program you can change any of your personal information.  Click on My Info on the left side of the online program screen.

When I click on "My Info" on Turbo Tax it just says "Are (my old name) and (my spouse's name) still filing a joint return for 2020?"

Don't worry about that.  Just keep going and continue into My Info to change it.  That is probably just in the program not on your actual return.

Just complete the interview for your personal information in My Info.  Once that is done you can go back and change your name.
