OH NO! Did you use the Online version instead of the Desktop CD/Download program you bought? Did you get the program installed on your computer?
Sorry you can't apply the Desktop purchase to the online version. They are separate things and don't talk or sync to each other and are priced differently. You would need to get a refund for the CD and pay for online separately. And state is a separate additional charge in online.
Or you can move your online return to the Desktop program without paying for online so you don't need to start over. To continue in the desktop version see this…….

After you get the program installed the first thing to do before you open your tax return .tax file is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to FILE - NEW).
The license code is only used for the TurboTax desktop CD/Download editions, not the TurboTax online editions.
If you purchased the 2019 TurboTax desktop software you should have installed the software on your personal computer to complete the 2019 tax return, not the online editions.
Download the 2019 tax data file from the online edition and finish the tax return on the computer where the software is installed.
See this TurboTax support FAQ for downloading the tax data file - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/saving/help/how-do-i-save-my-turbotax-online-return-as-a-tax-data-...
