How can i get the downloaded program, not the on line version?

go to tt website to purchase and download.  Costco has the CD's.   Amazon has CD's or download.     do not trust sites that offer significant discounts to what TT charges.   there either illegal duplicates at best or malware at worse and you'll be giving out you credit card info - they don't accept paypal or the like or use a phony site to spoof paypal, etc. .

Did you already enter a lot into the Online version?  You can move it to the Desktop program so you won't have to start over.

If you already started in the Online version you can move your return to the Desktop program even without paying for Online. If you already paid for the Online version you can contact them to give you the program download.

First download the .tax file from the Online version,

After you get the program installed the first thing to do before you open your tax return is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to FILE - NEW).
