Please clarify your question.

Unfortunately, we can't see your screen to see where you are, so I'll have to ask you a couple of questions.

  • What type of income are you trying to post?
    • 1099-Div
    • 1099-INT
    • 1099-R
    • 1099-B
    • other?
  • Will this only be used by you to identify accounts?

Please contact us again and provide some additional details.

On the 1099-INT detail page, I would like to add a note so I can easily see NOT only from whom the interest came but also identify the account.  For example, we have multiple accounts at National Financial but the "Received From" column only show "National Financial"  I would to add a note so I can clearly identify each account.  It's not for the IRS just to make sure I know I have all of our accounts.

If you manually enter your information instead of importing it you can name the financial institution for each account with a name that will prompt you.  For instance "National Financial Institution account #XXXXX" or something.
