I would call again. They will need to transfer you to the billing department.
how did you contact the "vendor?" you went back to where you bought the turbotax, like at costco? this is very frustrating...thanks.
I purchased my copy on line through a third party. I emailed them and they provided a new license number which allowed me to complete my filing.
It was never clear to me why my original license number stopped working, but I figured that out while talking to TurboTax support. I used the phone number listed earlier in this string to contact them. It was different than the genera support number.
I called in again and related much, if not all, of the information in this string. I mentioned this could be an issue with the license, I mentioned that one person said I need to talk to billing, etc... After being on the phone with them for over an hour, they just hung up and never called back. I finally just e-filed my federal (since there's no payment, it worked). For the state, I ended up printing it and mailing a hard copy.
I have to say, this experience was the worst customer service I've seen in a long time. It's pretty darn clear a lot of people are having this same problem, yet Intuit can't figure out what's going wrong or they are not educating their service reps on how to resolve it.
Same issue here, and now i am too late? Shouldn't prepare everything and then wait to the last day. I will held my self accountable for that, but it's Turbotax who doesn't promised what they should do and apparently this issue is already knows since febraury according to many post.
So I need to de-install the software and re-install it, would that solve the issue?
Excatly.!!! No clue.!! Remedy stop asking money for state tax filling.!! Turbotax can ask the revenue upfront by increasing their product to offset if necessary. Federal is Free so should be State Taxes.
