Sign out of TurboTax. Sign back in follow these steps.
1. Click My Info in the left-hand menu
2. Edit your information to be sure you select "Military or former military"
3. Be sure your resident state is your home of record (not CA)
4. If a spouse is applicable, Edit that information.
5. Be sure the spouse has home of record as residence as well
6. scroll down to "other state income" and select Edit
7. Select CA as state you were stationed in
8. Answer yes or no to the income source question and put in CA, if applicable.
The go to the state interview.
1. Click "State" in the left hand menu.
2. Click "Prepare State" tab at top of page
3. "Edit" CA and go through the interview again to be sure everything looks good.
4. "Edit" your resident state and go through that one again as well.

As you mentioned in 3rd point, why it shouldn't be CA? I have stayed entire year in California.
Be sure your resident state is your home of record (not CA)
This may have been in reference to someone who had that same error and their home state wasn't CA. Follow the steps as if your home state was CA.

Actually i selected my wife's residence as 'Foreign' as she is staying in India. But she has the residence status which we applied through election process
