Hi, I have a tax due to pay but I would like to pay it with the IRS Installment plans. I don't see an option on turbotax. I haven't filed yet. Can Turbotax do this?

If you have federal tax due you can pay by mailing your payment with the 1040V voucher, (which has the address printed on it, having the payment taken out of a designated bank account, or you can pay directly on the IRS website.

To apply for a payment plan with the IRS

You must pay your state tax due using the state’s preferred method of receiving payment.  For most states that will be by making a payment to the state’s own tax website, or by mailing a check or money order.

use the "I'll mail a check" option.

Then visit IRS.gov to apply for an installment plan

Turbotax used to offer a payment plan, but I think they took it out, and even if it is still an option, you should not use it.  The non-refundable application fee is much higher if you apply through a third party instead of directly on the IRS web site.

When you file, pick "I will pay by check," so that Turbotax will not ask for a credit number or bank account.  Then, pay as much as you can at the IRS web site www.irs.gov/payments.  Be sure to select "2022 form 1040" as the reason.   Then go to the IRS web site and apply directly on the site for a payment plan for the balance.

Also note, if you think you can pay off the balance by August, its probably better to skip the payment plan, since the late fees and interest will likely be less than the application fee for the plan.  Just pay as much as you owe online until you are finished.
