Hi, can purchasing a bicycle qualify as a deduction??

Hi, my employer had us be part of a fundraiser for which in order to participate we had to purchase a bicycle and helmet along with other cycling equipment while we had the logos of the multiple companies of the employer on the shirts advertising for them will these purchases be considered a deduction if they were purchased only for that specific event?

No, purchasing the bicycle and related equipment would not be a charitable donation, unless you donated the equipment to the charity after the event.
