    You do not complete a Form 8962 using TurboTax.  When you have entered your Form 1095-A on your tax return the TurboTax software automatically generates a completed Form 8962, Premium Tax Credit.

    What tax year?  Do you have a Form 1095-A to enter so that the Form 8962 can be generated?  Did you use TurboTax and if so which program, online or desktop?

    I filled my taxes this year and now it's sent paper for 8962 paper. What do I do I have filled one out before.

    I submitted my taxes through turbo tax without putting in my 1095-A form info. Received letter from IRS to send a completed form 8962 and a copy of my 1095-A. Aren't the two forms about the same thing? Never done a 8962 form, I need help filling it out. I wish turbo tax hadn't done this change where almost no one saw where to input your 1095-A form. Now we must all wait for our deposit longer 😔

    TurboTax generates form 8962 Premium Tax credit when you report form 1095-A on your tax return.

    To enter form 1095-A Health Insurance Marketplace:

    1. Log in to your account.
    2. Go to Federal Taxes.
    3. Go to Deductions and Credits.
    4. Scroll down to Medical and click show more.
    5. Go to Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A).

      TurboTax will  generate Form 8962 when you enter your Form 1095-A Health Insurance Marketplace information.

       

      To enter your Form 1095-A information follow these steps:

       

      • With TurboTax open select Federal Taxes.
      • Click the tab Deductions & Credits
      • Scroll down to Medical and click show more. 
      • Scroll down to Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A).
