@leesa-1 If your return was rejected, you will need to correct the error and file again in order to properly file the return for the tax season.
Thanks…… I’ve already done that 4 times. I don’t have marketplace insurance. Never have. Shouldn’t need a 1095-A for my tax return, so obviously it’s nothing on my end.

Did you try the solution in this thread at the top of the page?
I’m hesitant to put false information on my return like that, because I don’t want that to hurt me in the future or on next year’s return.
I did this and my taxes were accepted
@leesa-1 I agree with your point. The solution on this thread hasn't worked for me, but if it did, I wonder if it will affect my taxes later on. I just hope this is a bug that IRS will address and update soon.
@leesa-1 Can you stop saying “false information”, its a bug in the system. Its just a way to get your return accepted, its not like you’re getting more on your return by bypassing this bug by just putting 0’s on the form. If you don’t want to do it, then don’t. No need to keep commenting.
I wasn’t saying false information I posted a comment on here and a tax agent responded with that answer I tried it and it worked. My taxes were rejected once and I tried what she said and it worked. Sorry if you felt that way though.
@Flower5 I wasn’t responding to you.
Ok sorry
Thank you.
I did this exactly and it didn’t work

There are two issues that can affect the 1095-A. These will help to correct them.
To Delete a form:
On the menu bar on the left that shows.
My Info
Federal
State
Review
File
Select Tax Tools
On the drop-down select Tools
On the Pop-Up menu select Delete a Form
This will give you all of the forms in your return
Scroll down to the form you want to delete
Select the Form
Click on Delete.
Always use extreme caution when deleting from your tax return. There could be unintended consequences.
The workaround is to enter $1 for the 1095-A. This will not affect anything on your return but having the form there may get the IRS to accept your return.
To do this take the following steps:
Click Deductions and Credits
Scroll down to Medical and Click Show More
Click Start or Revisit next to the ACA
As you walk through the questions, you will be asked if you received a 1095-A.
If you did NOT, click YES anyway.
Enter 0's for the Marketplace identifier and Policy number.
Enter $1 for January monthly premium amount and SLCSP
Walkthrough to the end and submit your return.
That worked Thanks
First of all marketplace insurance is something you get on a yearly basis so you could have it one year and not have it the next year it doesn’t hurt a person to put that they have it one year and not the next because that kind of stuff happens all the time and second of all you’re putting a value of zero at least in the solution that I used for my friend that worked you put in the 1095 zero for both the identifier and the value so it’s not really false. If you want to get your return filed then you should try that solution because it worked for my friend when I did it for him and his refund is on its way. If you want to wait till the glitch is fixed then that’s your prerogative, but the solution offered does work, not the one where you fill out an 8962 and then delete it but the one where you say you have a 1095 and you put zero in the spaces that one works.
