I have the exact same circumstance, but I download my 1099-B's directly from my financial institution (which saves a lot of manual input on my end). When you download from your financial institution, the info coming across is already identified as short term or long term and Turbotax enters "VARIOUS" in the Acquired Date column (so they don't have to be listed individually.) Don't know if you are given the option to enter VARIOUS when entering manually.
