Have a filing problem needs to be addressed
I HAVE USED TURBO TAX FOR OVER 20 YEARS, HAVE ALWAYS
BEEN VERY PLEASED, HELPFUL, ACCURATE AND EASY TO USE
BUT, THE LAST FILING FOR YEAR ENDING 2022, I RAN INTO, A
PROBLEM, WHICH WAS NOT RELATED TO MY FILINGS AND
CAUSED ME SUBSTANTIAL ADDITIONAL COSTS BEYOND MY
TAX AMOUNTS DUE.
PROBLEM:
READY TO EFILE, IMPUT ALL INFO NEEDED, CREDIT CARD
NUMBER, EXPIRY DATE, SECURITY CODE,
HIT EFILE BUTTON
SENT ME BACK TO THREE QUESTIONS
FOREIGN EARNINGS FOR MY THREE SOURCES OF INCOME
WANTED TO IDENTIFY, COUNTRY, COUNTRY ZIP CODE’…
I HAD NO EARNING FROM FOREIGN, COULD NOT ANSWER
QUESTION, THUS, NOT ABLE TO HIT EFILE BUTTON…
I HAD TO RESORT TO PROFESSIONAL HELP (COSTING ME
A FEE)
EFILE WAS SENT, RECEIVED CONFIRMING ACCEPTED
MONTH LATER RECEIVED NOTICE FROM IRS, STATING NON
PAYMENT OF TAXES DUE (LATE FEE+INTEREST)
FOLLOWING WEEK RECEIVED SAME NOTIFICATION FROM
STATE OF VIRGINIA. (LATE FEE+INTEREST)
EVEN KNOWING ALL INFO REQUIRED FOR CHARGING TO
A CREDIT CARD HAD BEEN INPUT.
TOTAL ADDITIONAL COSTS FOR PROFESSONAL HELP
WAS OVER $900.00 DOLLARS.
IF I ENCOUNTER THE SAME PROBLEM IN NEXT YEAR FILING
I CAN NO LONGER USE TURBO TAX A SIMPLE OPTION TO
AVOID THIS HAPPENING AGAIN, IS A BUTTON
(“DOES NOT APPLY”)
CAN I BE ASSURED I WILL NOT ENCOUNTER THE SAME
PROBLEM ON FUTURE TURBO TAX FILING SYSTEM.
THE COURTESY OF A REPLY WOULD BE WELCOMED
THANK YOU

The filter removed your personal information for your security. This is a public website that can be seen by anyone using the internet, including scammers and would-be identity thieves--- so please do not try to post your personal contact information in this user forum.
There are no other posts in the user forum under your username roberts10. What did you do to try to solve your problem when you experienced difficulty e-filing? Did you contact customer support for help? You could have contacted customer support or you could have posted questions here in the user forum for help with e-filing before you resorted to spending a lot of money on a tax pro.
If you use TurboTax again in the future, ask for help if you need it. There are very experienced people here in the user forum who are willing to help, and if you are using a paid version of the software, you can contact customer support.

And....you do not explain why your tax due was late. It is not TurboTax's fault if you were late in paying your tax due. If you thought you were paying your tax due by direct debit---and then did not e-file using TurboTax, then your credit card information was not transmitted to the IRS or the state. That information would only have been transmitted if you e-filed successfully with TT. If your e-file was rejected, then nothing went to the IRS or to the state. You needed to pay your tax due when you filed using a tax pro, or you could have gone on the IRS and state sites to pay your tax due by the deadline.

Extra help for TurboTax would be TurboTax Live and cost about $100. If you really paid $900 for help with a personal return, you seem to have been scammed by a person other than TurboTax.

@roberts10 - a few things
first, as a courtesy to all, please turn off your CAPS button. It is a form of SHOUTING (plus harder to read).
it is the taxpayer responsiblity to pay the amount due by April 15. the IRS wants the cash or there is interest due. there is no penalty or interest if the paperwork is late (as long as the cash was received).
The payment could have been made at the IRS website on April 15 while the efile was being resolved to avoid late payment interest .
did you try contacting this forum or Turbo Tax to fix the problem with the foreign earnings? I can't imagine for a moment that someone charged you $900 to fix a simple problem. I suspect eliminating an errant Form 1116 would have solved the problem in a few minutes.
also, suggest not waiting until April 15 to file, incase something like this goes sideways.
