Hard copy will not transfer online tax return?

i filled out online tax and efiled. then i bought a cd copy to get the desktop icon and it will not transfer the efiled information?

You have to download the 2017 tax data file from the online account.  Then you can Open the 2017 tax return from the data file using the desktop edition installed on your computer.
