@jaredadwyer - how to rectify? if you agree with how the tax was calculated, pay it.

go back to your tax returns and their instructions.   TT will calculate RITA but it can not be efiled.  Is it possible it was created by TT but you didn't realize you had to mail it?  TT should have indicated the requirement to mail on the State instruction page.

This is the risk of using a do-it-yourself software.

You can prepare a RITA return using TurboTax as an extra step when you prepare your Ohio return or you can go on the RITA site--which may actually be easier.   Ohio has a complicated system of city and local taxes  and/or school district taxes, and if you live and/or work in Ohio it is your responsibility to learn which local or city taxes you are responsible for.  You might live in one local tax area and work in another local tax area.  Employers will withhold exactly the amount for the locality that you work in, but it is up to you to know if you live in an area for which you must pay a local tax; it is very common to pay tax for both the locality you work in and the locality you live in.  The rates may vary in the localities.

TurboTax only prepares a few city or local tax returns as an extra step in your state return.  For most local tax returns you are on your own.  You may have to ask around amongst your neighbors, etc. to find out if you have a local tax and how to pay it. “Google “ local tax for your area.  Call your city government, etc.  Your only record of paying your local tax will be your own bank/credit card records
