I'm trying to file a federal and state 1041 for a Trust. It keeps checking and rechecking and says I'm ready to file but when I hit Transmit Returns Now it says 'We need to make one more check'. It then circles again and I just go round and round and can't file.
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
There are a few steps you can take to potentially resolve this.
If neither is successful when attempted separately, we recommend that you contact a Product Support expert using this information What is the TurboTax phone number?.
We are not able to troubleshoot e-filing in this forum. But the phone experts should be able to help you.
Thank you. I've already done all those things and spoken to a tech support person and they couldn't help. What's my next move?
Update: I've filed the federal return but the state (Wisconsin) is still sending me in circles. Is there a WI state update to the Business product that hasn't yet come out? I'm current on all updates issued so far.
There are no updates to Wisconsin. And this is not a widespread issue.
If you haven't already cleared your cache and cookies do that.
Here's how to clear your cache and cookies.
Then try using a different browser. And disable your pop up blocker.
Thanks for the suggestions. I clared the cache and cookies and restarted my computer, but I have the desktop product so I can only load TT from the desktop (not using a browser). Any other suggestions? Wisconsin will only let you e-file.
Other than starting a new return, the only thing I would suggest is contacting support. Maybe it is a corrupted file or some other issue with the file. It is next to impossible to troubleshoot tech issues from this forum. Check this link and make sure there are no delays in any of your WI forms.
I am having that same looping problem on the Wisconsin Business app. Is this resolved?
Hi, I saw you're having the same problem I did. It wasn't resolved after 3 hours speaking to several different agents. I asked to be connected to a supervisor, and for no explicable reason when I was talking to her, the filing went through. She said she hadn't done anything so I have no idea what happened, but I suggest asking for a supervisor. Something similar happened to me last year so I will probably file with TaxAct next year instead - things seem to be smoother with them.
