Hi - has anyone had this issue this year? I am getting the error code and hoping someone knows how to fix it on the online version of turbotax. Thanks!
As Alicia states above, you likely just need to revisit the QBI income questions in the interview process to clarify your inputs so TurboTax can accurately calculate the deduction.
To review the QBI entries in TurboTax Online you can follow these steps:
I had the same issue and I deleted the QBI form and it worked.
If the QBI calculations could not be completed, would you clarify, what kind of income do you have?
It's likely that you have worksheets that have identical business names e.g. "Insurance Agent". So the error would state " Qualified Business Income Component wkst (Insurance Agent): Your calculations could not be completed. Reference code : 8-312-029" Deleting one worksheet will resolve the issue. It will automatically rename the other form with a generic name. This should resolve the issue and allow you to efile.
How do you delete one of the forms?
To delete one of the worksheets, choose the steps for your version of TurboTax:
If you are using the Desktop version of our software (CD/Download):
If you are using TurboTax Online:
I deleted the QBI worksheet and the error was corrected.
