Will Forms Mode still be available in some manner now that the Desktop download is going away? I used that all the time and it was very useful.

The difference is that there will not be a physical, plastic CD for the desktop software. You will install it by downloading it to your own computer's hard drive. The features of the desktop software --like five federal e-files, Forms mode, "what if" -- etc. etc etc. will still be the same as ever.
The TurboTax desktop downloads are not going away. What has been reported is that TurboTax will no longer offer a Compact Disk to install the software.
