Form 8889 error

I have my own HSA and HDHP, but I am being claimed as a dependent on my parent's tax return as I still live at home. I got this plan in September with a new job, so I marked Sep-Dec as self-only on form 8889, and the previous months as none. I am not trying to claim a credit as I am ineligible, but when I do the final check, it says I am ineligible and to check a different option than self-only for which months I had it. I am not sure what to do about it.

Form 8889 error

The Review process in TurboTax is likely confused on why you are making Self HDHP coverage entries when you aren't eligible to make HSA contributions because you are a dependent.

Go back and change those Self entries to NONE - or, even better, when TurboTax asks if you had HDHP coverage at any time in 2025, just say "no".
