Yes, they fixed it but now the program doesn’t automatically calculate estimated taxes for 2025. This will be my last year with TurboTax.

What is the status of this issue as of April 2025?
Can desktop users of TurboTax e-file with Form 7206 now? TurboTax still lists Form 7206 as "Unsupported" for Windows and Mac users. But I have seen people post that they've been able to e-file with it. Is that right?
Also even if you can e-file, Form 7206 is not filled out correctly by TurboTax and they put a footnote at the bottom regarding marketplace premiums not being included on the form. Should we just e-file with the form not filled out properly but not worry about it as long as our Self-Employed Health Insurance Deduction on Schedule 1 is correct? Or should we go into Forms mode and manually fix Form 7206 to make it accurate and then e-file?
It would be very helpful if anyone can report and update the correct way to handle these things as of today.
I efiled last week and have gotten accepted.
No problems for me. PS I did not have any long-term health expenses so my 7206 was straight forward.
It depends. Form 7206 is not available for e-file in TurboTax Desktop. It is available in TurboTax Online.

This was a problem in 2023. I had to US Mail the return. I also filed my 2024 returns using the 7206 form with no issues for 2024. Looks like they got it fixed
It was fixed in late January. I filed my taxes with no other problems.
May want to check on your answer - I was able to successfully e-file with Home and Business desktop on 3/28/25 with the form 7206. Having to send by mail is not a solution.
You need to get the AI database updated to reflect that you CAN e-file the 7206 form on the desktop for 2024 taxes. Looks like not updated from the 2023 fiasco when it was true you could not e-file.
I also filed in March of 2025 for 2024 Taxes. The issue seems to be resolved. I had to mail the prior year return (2023) because the issue was not fixed when I filed last year.
@DianeW777 "No. Form 7206 is not available for e-file in TurboTax Desktop"
I must have imagined that I just e-filed my 1040 with 7206 on TT Desktop. And I must have imagined that the IRS accepted my 1040 with 7206.
when I had marketplace insurance form 7206 didn't populate
when I eliminated the marketplace insurance the form generated. it's in all desktop versions. this was atest so I didn't try to e-file
I was able to e-file with Form 7206 on TurboTax Home & Business 2024 and federal return was accepted.
@DianeW777 TurboTax should update their listing to show that Form 7206 actually is supported for e-filing on Windows at least. And they should stop telling people they can't e-file with it when we can. The next issue is whether the information on Form 7206 meets what the IRS actually needs for it to be correct beyond the return simply being accepted. In many cases, TurboTax doesn't fill out the actual Form 7206 but puts a footnote at the bottom saying there is an adjustment for the marketplace premiums but that those premiums aren't shown on the Form 7206. This footnote is present when you look at Form 7206 in Forms mode in TurboTax, but if you print out a copy of your return the footnote isn't there. Does the IRS get the footnote or not in the version they see?
Clearly we're able to e-file on the desktop software with Form 7206 according to my experience and that of many others who have posted. And I'm sure in 99% of cases the IRS doesn't even look closely at the form. But it would be good to know if the form is indeed up to the standard the IRS wants so nobody has any problem later.
These issues regarding Form 7206 have been going on for years as you can see from multiple threads on this forum, including a very long one. Other software correctly fills out the Form 7206 perfectly. So I wish TurboTax will fix this completely for 2025 taxes.
