Just got an email from TT saying the 7206 form is now ready and to check for updates. I did that and there was a new update to TT. But it did not fix the issue and I still cannot E-File with the 7206.
TT - get your act together.
I suspect we will get the fix sometime next week.
This has not been done on the desktop software - I applied an update today and I am still getting the error. This is a VERY costly issue - Intuit - PLEASE FIX IT ASAP. Mail filing is not an option and I do not want to get caught in the end-of-season rush.
It is not the customers that are having issues with Form 7206. It is Intuit.
This is not my first major frustration with Intuit. In a previous year, I filed an amended return, and I discovered that Intuit made up erroneous numbers, when porting over figures from my original return to the amended return. It took extensive hand-drafting to correct Intuit's mistakes. Many other people lodged the same complaint. To my knowledge, Intuit never corrected the mistake.
I am starting to get frustrated enough with Intuit's problems that I am considering using a different program to prepare my taxes next year.
It's now available in Turbotax
