Turbo tax gave me an amount in Form 1040 Box 25c that I did not input, and cannot trace to how it came to be. I read suggestions that it could be extra Medicare tax withheld by employer, which Turbo tax calculates by reading W2 data. Is there a way to see how Turbo tax arrived at the amount?

Any amount on the Form 1040 Line 25c would come from a W-2G, from a Form 8959 Line 24 (Additional Medicare Tax) or any federal income tax withheld that is shown on a Schedule K-1.
