For Tax Preparation Fees, may I includes the sales tax charged or just what is shown under last year's TurboTax Order details?

The sales tax is not much but I'm not sure if I'm supposed to enter the total tax preparation cost or total minus sales tax under Other Deductions and Credits > Tax Preparation Fees.

Unless you are self employed and you are entering the cost of tax preparation on your Schedule C as a business expense, you cannot deduct the cost of tax prep on your federal return.   Since you are posting from online Deluxe it does not look like you are entering self employment income.

The tax laws that changed for 2018 and beyond took away the miscellaneous federal deductions that included tax preparation costs

Yes, that is correct. It won't be deductible on my Federal Return; however, it might be deductible on State Return. I enter it just in case it might be deductible at the State level. In theory, if it was deductible, would it be OK to include the sales tax in the total purchase price for tax preparation fees?
