My efile failed. needed an update, updated. Still fails. Still needs update, but no update. It says you've had a technical hiccup. When will you fix it?

Finally resolved issue in my own. Required uninstalling application and removing a multitude of extraneous files on the MAC. Reinstalled and eFile was successful.

What do you consider extraneous files in your iMac?

To properly uninstall requires removing *all* the files in this FAQ - just deleting the application will do nothing since the problem is usually in a support file.

Did the deletions of all the files required by the above link and reloaded (again); a miracle occurred and after restarting I was able to e-file.  Thanks for the help; not happy with Intuit - this should not happen with released s/w.

I had the same problem. Just spent a whole afternoon on this. It didn't work after I reinstalled and re-efiled many time. However, it worked suddenly after I re-typed my email address and phone number. I don't know whether re-typing the email address and phone number could work or not. I'd just like to share my experience. Try everything you can. Good luck everyone.

Don't believe the steps above. It's not an issue on your side, it's a transmission issue. I just spent 2 hrs with troubleshooting tech support and did all those steps with no fix. I then got frustrated and tried to re-file over and over again (about 10 times in 2 minutes) and each time I saw the progress get closer and closer until on the 10th time if actually confirmed it worked.

Just keep re-filing and it will eventually go through.

Yes it does.  Just keep hitting send and it will FINALLY go through.

Had difficulty filing Virginia state tax.  Got a "cancelled" technical difficulty as reason.  After reading every email filing issue (to include restall and clearing cookies) decided to shut down my computer and simply restart it.  During the restart, the Mac updated (this wasn't an update listed in a notice).  Once it restarted AND updated, it transmitted my Virginia state tax without a problem.

I am also getting this same error. A months  later they still have not fixed the problem. I went through support,  allen the number and they hung up on me.  They also already charged my credit card for the state e-file

Doing this did  nothing  but waste another 20 min reinstalling an app an updates..
