I am having issues filing my Minnesota state return.
A message stating "Schedule M1SA: Home mortgage interest should not have a value since federal Schedule A, lines 8b and 8c are blank." pops up when I check my return.
I've tried to make that number 0 (or delete it entirely) but then I see this message:
"All W-2, 1099, W-2G information for Schedule M1W should be entered on the Federal return. Please be sure all needed information has been entered."
What is the solution to fixing this issue? Thank you for any help!

We can't actually see your return in this forum however it appears you are on the track with the form M1SA correction. Be sure the delete/backspace in the box to be sure there are no stray characters there. It should be blank not zero (0).
Next, the M1W error indicates something is missing from an income form entered in the federal interview. You will need to return to the "Wages and Income" tab and "Edit" any forms entered that show MN as a state withholding in the state boxes. Those could be W2 or 1099 form entries. Be sure the Issuer/Employer names and full addresses and ID numbers are entered. You may need to delete and re-enter the data.
